Outside Works

The wellbeing and safety of our residents is always a priority of ours, so throughout the next 9/10 months we’ll be making some home improvements to Bradstowe House to maintain the building’s safety measures. This page will be updated regularly with details on where the works will be carried out and when. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of the onsite team.

Overview of Works

December 2020 UPDATE:
The works have been delayed and the contractors will be onsite to begin their site set up from week commencing 7th December.
The scaffolding erection to the ground floor will commence on the 15th December.
Works will shut down for Christmas on the 18th December until 4th January. In the New Year main scaffolding will commence.

All works will be carried out between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00 Monday – Friday (any noisy works will be between 09:00 – 17:00). Some works may be carried out between the hours of 09:00 – 15:00 on Saturday (any noisy works will be between 10:00 – 14:00) with further notification.

January 2021

Scaffolding will continue to be erected around the exterior of the building, affecting the West Gable. Some drilling and cutting will take place during these weeks to secure the scaffolding and hoarding. Diversions will be in place for pedestrians around the exterior. 

These works will take place Monday – Friday between 08:00 – 18:00, with possible works carried out between 09:00 – 15:00 on Saturday.

February 2021

Scaffolding will continue to be erected around the exterior of the building, affecting the North Gable. Some drilling and cutting will take place during these weeks to secure the scaffolding and hoarding. Diversions will be in place for pedestrians around the exterior. 

These works will take place Monday – Friday between 08:00 – 18:00, with possible works carried out between 09:00 – 15:00 on Saturday.

March 2021

Scaffolding will continue to be erected around the exterior of the building, affecting Junction Road side. Some drilling and cutting will take place during these weeks to secure the scaffolding and hoarding. Diversions will be in place for pedestrians around the exterior. 

These works will take place Monday – Friday between 08:00 – 18:00, with possible works carried out between 09:00 – 15:00 on Saturday.

April 2021

Scaffolding will continue to be erected around the exterior of the building, affecting Headstone Lane side. Some drilling and cutting will take place during these weeks to secure the scaffolding and hoarding. Diversions will be in place for pedestrians around the exterior. 

These works will take place Monday – Friday between 08:00 – 18:00, with possible works carried out between 09:00 – 15:00 on Saturday.

• The latest safety audit was carried out on March 11th and no concerns were raised.
• The scaffold to elevations A and B within the internal courtyard is 100% complete.
• Fire Rated Debris netting has been installed for extra protection to 3 bays of the scaffold upon elevation B which are close to the boundary with the road.
• Rainscreen stripping works are complete from roof level to level 5 upon elevations A and B.
• Repairs have consisted of filling holes from the existing fire barrier fixings, small areas where the seal has come away from the epdm carrier angle beneath the window frame. Vertical and horizontal fire barriers and insulation are currently being installed from roof level to Level 6.
